Easy, Wire Heart Earrings: DIY

And the Hearts continue.
If you are just joining in,  every DIY I do  from now  until February 14, will have a heart in it.
I am having so much fun coming up with new ideas.

Tutorial
Things you need.
  1. 20 Gauge Wire *Wal-mart or Michaels
  2. Pliers
Cut your wire about  3 1/2 to 4 inches long.

 Make a V

Shape your wire like a heart.

I lift up the middle and using my pliers,  twist the middle over itself.

 Like the picture above.
The wire is very forgiving so you can shape it pretty easily.

Then on one side, using my pliers, I curled it up.

Then repeat with the other wire.

I have a couple of other shapes I am experimenting with.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Put glue on the open stripes and sprinkle with your glitter.

I did two stripes of each color.

let dry.. shake off the glitter and repeat the glue/ glitter process again.

 Carefully peel off your tape.
To Seal the glitter in put a thin layer of Mod Podge Fabric Glue on the glitter stripes.
Let dry for about 48 hours before washing.
Wash in cold water tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.

I put a stud at the seams so I didn't have to sew them.

  2. Candle
  3. Pliers
Cut your wire about 4 inches.

Make a V

Using your fingers shape the heart

Wrap one of the wires around the other about three times.
Cut off excess wire.

Now bend up the middle and carefully twist the wire over itself

looks like this.

Cut another piece of wire about 5 inches long.
Wrap one end around one side of the wire three times.

Now wrap the wire around your candle.
